house-cleaning
Yesterday Trish had to wake up early for an appointment with the foot doctor. While we were in there it started to rain. He saw a blister on her foot & started her on some OTC salve. Once we were out of his office I called Car-girl while Trish went to make her next appointment & use the bathroom.
Because of the heavy downpour, we elected to go straight to the drugstore & then home, & miss out on Cheri's wonderful cooking. Trish watched Britney Spears up until lunchtime, then we ate at the soup kitchen, where we were regaled, not with a sermon but the old joke about the guy backing over a bunch of motorcycles (wasn't much of a fighter/wasn't much of a driver, either).
While Trish cleaned I went downstairs, to find she'd left her TV running for several days. I hope it won't run the power bill up too much. I watched the Doors until she finished cleaning, then we watched Bryan Ferry on Trish's home theater.
For supper I fixed us a can of beets & 2 cans of sketti-o's. Trish took her shower while I surfed the darkened seas -- still having problems with the surge suppressor -- I turned on the TV, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, & then Ted called. When I checked my email I'd found a note from Sid Davis to the effect of, the pitch is in line, send me a bio, so I had that uplifting news to report.
Trish went to bed early again. I woke up at 5:23. I know that I'm still undersleeping a little, but am hoping that this sleep apnea thing will improve the quality of my wife's rest.
